barney is the fireman for the Bizarre and Tenebris's right hand man. he is in charge of taking care of the engine, and when no work needs to be done he plays guitar for small crowds.

barney is physically in his early 40s, but was actually born 1865. he is a very quiet and grouchy man and is not very approachable. beneath this rugged exterior, he is a kind, mellow and calm man that enjoys solitude. hes secretly a romantic and even more "secretly" an intellectual. he enjoys ideas and bouncing off them, creating links between concepts. thats why he loves trains so much!

barney comes from a minor goldtown in panhandle texas. after befriending Tenebris as children, he was told to find the Spring of Youth to find Tenebris after an incident. he spend a long, long time finding him. after a reuninon barney began working upon the Bizarre.
